Years at Biopharma Group?
23 Years...and counting!
What are your key responsibilities at Biopharma Group?
I am responsible for directing and overseeing the scientific elements of what we do at Biopharma Group. This includes working with Technical Sales in scoping out customer projects during initial discussions. I mat then have involvement either as project manager or in a supporting/mentoring capacity for colleagues. My role sees me being heavily involved in writing & delivering training courses, some of which are customised to a customer's specific needs. We also develop our own analytical instruments here at Biopharma Group, plus I have managed the technical aspects of this area. As one of the company directors, I also have a shared responsibility for planning, resourcing and budgeting. Plus I manage the budget for staff training, and try to ensure that all staff are able to complete training each year as part of their CPD (Continuing Professional Development).
Any interest and hobbies outside of work?
Walking our 3 rescue dogs in the local countryside. I am a huge fan of cycling, and regularly do charity cycling events such as the London to Brighton bike ride! I am also apart of a small a cappella group, who sing at weddings & charity events. We recently performed a concert for Ukraine and raised more than £3,000 for medical supplies.
